What information do you need for a truck insurance quote?
An accurate quote is mostly a function of accurate inputs.
Most of the delay in commercial trucking quotes comes from information arriving in pieces. Gathering it once, up front, shortens the process considerably.
Here is what is typically needed before a meaningful conversation can happen.

The business and its authority
Legal business name, contact details, DOT and MC numbers where applicable, how long the operation has been running, and the type of operation you run.
The equipment and the freight
Number of trucks and trailers, year, make, model and value of each unit, the commodities you haul, and typical load values. Cargo limits are set against this, so estimates cost you accuracy.
The operation and the people
Operating radius and lanes, driver count and experience, whether drivers are employed or contracted, and your current insurance status including existing coverages and loss history.
What happens once the information is in
The information is used to understand your exposures and identify coverages designed to address them. Availability, eligibility, pricing and coverage remain subject to underwriting and to the terms of any policy that is ultimately issued.
A quote request is not a binder of insurance and does not create coverage.
